Top Lists of 2011

I don't know about you, but I always enjoy reading "top lists" at the end of each year.  Whether I agree with them or not, they're just entertaining.  As a kid, I'd even cut some of them out and paste them in my journals or spend hours listening to Casey Casem's Top 100 songs of the year as I diligently wrote down EVERY SINGLE SONG (and tape recorded quite a few for later enjoyment - ah the joys of making mixed tapes).  Technology has made it so much easier to say the least!   This year, I thought it would be fun to make a few lists of my own and share them with you.  Hopefully you find them entertaining.  As you can see, I got a little carried away.  Once you start thinking of things, it's easy to do!

*Disclaimer:
These lists were generated purely for fun and entertainment and in no way reflect the general consensus of my fellow sisters or our blog audience.  No offense is meant and I may make fun of people/artists I even like in some cases.  Heck I even make fun of myself quite a bit!

                                                                1. Any song by Adele

                                                                7. Bruno Mars - "Grenade"
                                                                8. Katy Perry - "Firework" (or TGIF)
Okay - that's more than 5 and I could keep going all night!

                              5. Agreed to take organ lessons

Things we didn’t do in 2011 that we said we would:
                         1. Make a cool video about our trip to Jamaica
                         2. Clean out the office (well . . . we did and then everything had to be put back in)
                         3. Buy a new camera
                         4. Fix the small dent in the sports car (thanks to a shopping cart)

(I can hear all you Twilight fans hissing at me right now.  To be fair, I haven't read or seen any of it.  Just thought it would be funny and I am looking forward to not seeing facebook cluttered with grown adults gushing about midnight showings a year in advance.)

  2. Whaat! How could you want Adele gone?! I was listening to her album while I read this! She's my favorite female artist! You have to at least give her credit for having true talent and class in today's world of auto-tuned, low-life "singers".

  3. OH, I do however agree with Pick-Up-Stix! I looved them. We actually used to go Christmas Eve until they left.

  4. I knew the Adele thing would ruffle feathers. I don't mind her and always find myself singing along to "someone like you" but it's really just ridiculous how much they play her so they are killing her for me. Larry thought it would be funny if I out her on the what I hope leaves in 2012 list since she was on the other one. I just hope she doesn't release as many songs this year so I can have small breaks of not hearing her on the radio every other song!!!

  5. Haha Kelly, I gave her a hard time about the Adele thing too! I think that is why she put it on there, she knew people would get riled up about it! Hear hear on the Twilight FB status' though!!! =)

  7. I gotta agree with all of them. But the one I have to agree with most is the holiday sandwich at earl of sandwich. I wish every day could be like Christmas.

  9. Organ lessons? (I loved mine. Tell me how yours goes). And I'll admit the Twilight movies were dog awful! But I really liked the books (and that reminds me, when are you going to send me the picture of me in front of Bella's truck?)

  10. Those are some great lists. Lol Couldn't agree more with the song list. And what's up with Dominoes bread sticks?! We love those, I was so sad when they said they didn't have them anymore.
